Hi there and thanks for checking out my e-portfolio! My name is Darren Brinklow and I am a secondary educator specializing in senior science and math. I am currently teaching at Radville Regional High School in Radville Saskatchewan and have been employed by the South East Cornerstone Public School Division #209 since 2013.
I grew up in the town of Warsaw, which is a small farming community in Southern Ontario. After attending High School at Saint Peter Secondary School in Peterborough I went on to earn a bachelor of Science Honours at Trent University (Dean’s List) in 2011. Furthering my education, I moved to Kingston Ontario where I completed my Bachelor of education at Queen’s University in 2013. Prior to convocation I was offered and accepted my first and current job with the South East Cornerstone Public School Division.
I believe my professional journey as an educator has just begun. However, I have already taught a variety of courses so far in my career such as: Workplace and Apprenticeship Mathematics 10, 20, 30, Physics 20 (old), 30, Chemistry 20 (old), 30, Biology 20 (old), 30, health science 20, physical science 20, Practical and Applied Arts 7,8,30, Physical Education 20, 30, Wildlife Management 30, Math 9, and Personal Finance 30.
I know my journey is just beginning and I continue to learn and grow as a professional educator through continued professional development and collaboration with other educators. I enjoy attending and contributing to my PLC groups, both at the school and division level each year.
Outside of academics I enjoy school athletics as the athletic director at Radville Regional High School. Furthermore, I enjoy coaching volleyball in the fall and track and field in the spring. Outside of school I like playing hockey, lacrosse and baseball. I also enjoy working on vehicles and drag racing a truck that I built from the frame up.
When I am not teaching or coaching I like spending time with my son who was born in 2015 and my wonderful wife who is also an educator.
Thanks for stopping by!
